The Bar & Bistro

Our bar and bistro is at the very centre of the Llanerch experience. The classic bistro overlooks the south-facing slopes of our vineyard and the hills of Glamorganshire beyond. The menu has been created and cooked on site by our award-winning chef. We source the very best produce from across Wales and from the local area so you can indulge in a real taste of what Wales has to offer, from our delicious selection of Welsh cheeses, to local Ashdown fish and Pontypridd beer from just down the way!

Our bar can attract quite a crowd of an evening. Not only do we serve our signature Llanerch vintages but we also offer local brews and have a fully stocked bar to boot. The vibrant crowd you’ll find at Llanerch is made up of our diverse range of guests, Llanerch locals as well as Cardiff city folk looking for a luxurious, laid back evening.

Our Wines & Vineyard Tours

Over the years Llanerch Vineyard has become the premier Welsh vineyard. Now under new management, the vines have been producing delicious vintages since 1986 and the new direction Llanerch is currently taking will see us premier 6 new wines over the coming months. If you are not up on your Welsh wines, you can anticipate a characteristic Welsh body with an excellent bouquet and clean, clear finish.

If you are coming to Llanerch Vineyard hotel for the wines, you are in for a treat. When you stay in our vineyard rooms you will be located right in the heart of our south-facing Ely Valley wine-growing slopes. At Llanerch all visitors are welcome to stroll and take tours of our working vineyard. We also offer wine-tastings of all our currently available wines. The next few months at Llanerch are going to be an exciting time for wine-lovers as many of our new varieties will be ready and we will be planting a whole new variety of grapes to make our Three Choirs wine!

The Cookery School

For the foodies among you, Angela Gray’s cookery school is a rare treat. Unwind and relax in the very middle of Llanerch Vineyard while you learn the art of cookery from a true master. Angela is a wonderful teacher as well as a food writer, broadcaster, food consultant and chef to the elite, now she has turned her considerable talents to Llanerch Vineyard’s cookery school. Angela’s cookery courses, classes and events are a big hit with budding chefs and local foodies alike. They are open to real beginners as well as ‘seasoned’ professionals!
